Singapore Flying College Pte Ltd, established in 1988, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. The College holds the Flight Training Organisation by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Civil Aviation Safety Authority Australia (CASA). The College, a well renowned pioneer in training Ab-initio cadets in Singapore, has since its inception trained more than 2000 cadets for the SIA group.
Its primary aim and objective is to provide high quality, safe and efficient pilot flight training for airlines. The College’s Head Office is at the SIA Training Centre in Singapore and a branch operates in Jandakot, Western Australia.
The College maintains a fleet of training aircraft which are maintained by a team of experienced in-house Engineers at the College’s hangar at Jandakot Airport. Having an in-house Engineering team ensures that our aircraft are available to meet our training needs and kept in pristine condition for safe and efficient flying. The training fleet comprises single engine Cessna 172 and multi-engine Piper Seminole aircraft. The College has a combination of analogue and “glass cockpit” equipped aircraft.
The College conducts a rigorous ground school and flight training programme which together with a high degree of effort from the cadet, produces quality pilots to act as competent crew members on Public Transport aircraft. While undergoing training at the College, our dedicated team of instructors strives to instill professional knowledge and discipline, a living safety culture, team spirit and emphasis on ethical behaviour to bring out the best in every individual.
The College also enrolls self-sponsored candidates, many of whom have become Airline Pilots.
The College continuously strives to improve and adapt to the dynamic aviation industry, with the primary aim of producing pilots of the highest standards desired by today’s airlines.
