The Singapore Flying College was established in 1988 with the objective of training Ab-initio pilots to the highest standards. It is a Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) approved Flight Training Organisation.

The College maintains a fleet of 12 EFIS equipped aircraft and some conventional Cessna 172s. The Cessna 172s are deployed to the Ab-initio training. The course culminates in the licence flight tests on the EFIS equipped Baron G58.
