シンガポールフライングカレッジは、シンガポールのSIAトレーニングセンターに本社を置くCAAS承認の飛行学校です。パイロットトレーニングに航空会社のパイロットに必要なコアバリューが含まれるようにするために、シンガポール航空グループの下で1988年に設立されました。 SFCは、飛行訓練の継続に有利な気候と気象条件が一般的であったため、1992年に西オーストラリアのジャンダコット基地に拡大しました。 ATPL地上訓練はシンガポールで完了し、ジャンダコット基地で飛行訓練が実施されます。

Assistant Chief Engineer

Position 2

( Based in Jandakot, Western Australia)

Singapore Flying College, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, operates a fleet of Garmin G1000 Cessna C172R & S aircraft. We are looking for a self-motivated, multi-skilled individual willing to contribute to the Company as a valuable team member.

 

Selection Criteria:

  • Must be qualified B1.2 LAME

  • Exclusions removed E2, E3, and E37. (Preferred if Excluded E1, E4, and E5)

  • Preference to have experience in the above aircraft type

  • Sound knowledge of Civil Aviation Safety Authority Regulations

  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Computer literacy​

 

As a Deputy Chief Engineer, you are responsible for the coordination, job assignments and timely completion of required aircraft maintenance and must be able to fulfil the responsibilities of the Chief Engineer in their absence. These activities will be, but not limited to:

  • Carry out distribution of work and allocation of manpower

  • Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of airframe, engine, and electrical systems

  • Performing all maintenance in accordance with the approved manuals

  • Supervise unqualified maintenance personnel and follow company policies and procedures.

  • Follow policies and procedures as set out by CASA.

  • Ensure documentation is true and accurate.

  • Issue Aircraft Maintenance Release after completion of work

  • Carry out troubleshooting and defect rectification on SFC aircraft

Opportunities for sponsored skill upgrades (subject to terms and conditions) are available. Suitable LAMEs will be considered for career progression to Senior LAME and Deputy Chief Engineer.

We provide a well-equipped workshop with excellent working conditions and job security, where safety is the priority on all maintenance activities. The hangar facility primary focus is to service our own aircraft.

Head of Safety

Position 3

( Based in Jandakot, Western Australia)

Singapore Flying College is looking for someone to fill the position of Head of Safety in Jandakot, Western Australia.

 

As the Head of Safety,  you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our safety management systems in compliance with CAAS SASP 10 and CASA Part 141/142 regulations. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety, ensuring compliance, and implementing best practices across our organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Management System:

  • Manage the Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain the SFC SMS Manual in accordance with regulations and industry best practices.

  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Investigate safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop corrective actions and preventive measures to mitigate risks.

  • Monitor safety performance indicators and trends, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior management.

 

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all training operations comply with CAAS SASP 10 and CASA Part 141/142 regulations and standards.

  • Stay current with changes in aviation safety regulations and best practices, ensuring continuous alignment with regulatory requirements.

  • Liaise with CAAS and CASA representatives, responding to inquiries, facilitating inspections, and addressing compliance issues promptly.

 

Training and Safety Promotion:

  • Develop and deliver safety training programs and workshops for instructors, staff, and students to promote a strong safety culture.

  • Conduct safety briefings, seminars, and meetings to communicate safety policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Encourage and facilitate the reporting of safety concerns, incidents, and hazards through a non-punitive reporting system.

 

Incident Management and Reporting:

  • Manage the reporting and documentation of safety incidents, ensuring timely and accurate submission of reports to regulatory authorities.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to conduct thorough incident investigations and develop comprehensive incident reports.

  • Maintain detailed records of safety incidents, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.

  • Maintain the company’s emergency response plan.

 

 Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety practices and procedures through data analysis and industry benchmarking.

  • Implement safety enhancement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety-related projects and initiatives.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

The applicant should possess the following:

  • Strong knowledge of aviation safety regulations, safety management systems (SMS), and industry best practices.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and educate staff, students, and stakeholders on safety matters.

  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing safety programs and initiatives within an aviation training environment.

  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to safety management.
