Safety & Quality Executive

Position 1

( Based in Singapore )

The Singapore Flying College is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Safety & Quality Executive to join our team. Reporting to the Safety & Quality Manager (SQM), the Safety & Quality Executive (SQE) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the College’s safety and quality management systems to ensure the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

 

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Aviation Safety, Aeronautical Science, Quality Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in aviation safety and quality management, preferably in a flight training environment.

  • Familiarity with aviation regulations, including (but not limited to) CAAS, CASA and EASA.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Certification in Aviation Safety (e.g. IATA, ICAO SMS) and/or Quality Management (e.g. ISO 9001) is favourable.

  • Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the SFC Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with aviation regulations and industry best practices.

  • Maintain and update safety and quality documentation, including manuals, reports, and records, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and quality assurance reviews to identify potential hazards, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including flight instructors, maintenance personnel, and management, to promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.

  • Investigate and analyze incidents, accidents, and non-conformities, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Assist the SQM in the coordination and conduct of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety and quality programs through Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) and other relevant metrics.

  • Develop and deliver safety and quality training sessions where required to keep staff apprised of latest developments in the safety and quality space.

  • Stay informed about advancements in aviation safety and quality management, incorporating relevant innovations into the organization's programs.

  • Foster a proactive safety and quality culture by promoting reporting and addressing concerns in line with the principles of just culture.

  • Any other duties as assigned by the SQM or the General Manager.
